Herbarium hotel - yummy !!!

It's three hours from Warsaw - going by car - the brand new hotel and spa in Chomiąż Szlachecka (yes, it's real polish name). I found this place when I looked for hotel to spend nice weekend and to rest.
The Herbarium ( is located near Biskupin and Gniezno) - so apart of nice place to spend time and rest you can fine interesting place to visit around.

Herbarium Hotel

The first place to visit was Biskupin - an archaeological site and a life-size model of an Iron Age fortified settlement in Poland. Surely worth seeing ...

Entrance to Osada Łużycka

In Biskupin you can see very interesting animal farm ...

Next step was Wenecja - yes, Wenecja (Venice) with wonderful Narrow Gauge Railway Museum.

Do you know Leszek Biały (Leszek the White) - Prince of Sandomierz and High Duke of Poland during 1194-1198, 1199, 1206-1210 and 1211-1227. During the early stages of his reign his uncle Duke Mieszko III the Old, and cousin Władysław III Spindleshanks, from the Greater Polish branch of the royal Piast dynasty contested Leszek's right to be High Duke. You can see statue of Leszek in Marcinkowo Górne (near Gąsowa) - it's near a place where Leszek Biały was killed.

I don't know which below picture is the best ;)

On the way back we visited the Gniezno - one of the Piast dynasty's chief cities, it was mentioned by AD 10th century sources, including the Dagome Iudex, as the capital of Piast Poland. The Roman Catholic archbishop of Gniezno is the primate of Poland.

Definitely I recommend this area to visit - hotel is very nice especially when you can buy special offer like l did ;)

Malaga in November - the very good idea

In November (today I can write - last year) I were in Malaga - in Andalusia area. It's the second largest area of the autonomous communities in Spain. The territory is divided into eight provinces: Almería, Cádiz, Córdoba, Granada, Huelva, Jaén, Málaga and Seville. Its capital is the city of Seville. We spent four days visiting Malaga, Granada (Alhambra) and Ronda.

We stayed in very nice hotel Hotel Castilla Guerrero located near city center - all main Malaga's attractions you can reach by foot.

Due to very late flight (we landed in Malaga at midnight) I decided to order  local taxi transport to hotel (you can order earlier taxi): Malaga Airport Taxi
The fastest way to get to hotel is train - directly from airport, and it's the cheapest way, either.

The first day was dedicated for visiting Malaga.

We spent evening in nice restaurant with opportunity to see a flamenco show.

Second day - the target wad Granada and Alhambra. Unfortunately the weather was changed from hot and sunny to cold and rainy.

Third day - Ronda - a city located near 100km from Malaga, situated in a very mountainous area about 750 m above mean sea level.
The Guadalevín River runs through the city, dividing it in two and carving out the steep, 100 plus meters deep El Tajo canyon upon which the city perches.

Short summary:
   - we use Norwegian Air - and I have to say it was very good choice !
   - we rent a cars in  Atesa
   - the Picasso Museum id definitely worth visting Museo Picasso Málaga
